Jacob Rivers, Dean of Equity & Social Impact

Dean Rivers joins us from Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, where he has gained extensive experience serving as Co-Director of Equity & Inclusion. He has also held roles at Viewpoint School, Greenhill School and Williston Northampton School, focusing on culturally responsive curriculum and professional development. Dean Rivers holds a Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership from Mount Holyoke College and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Trinity College. He is the founder of Black Royalty, a national network supporting educators of color in independent schools. River's work centers on building community around the driving force of joy, believing that joy fuels curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning that transcends obstacles.
