The Drew Parent/Guardian Association (P/GA) is committed to enriching our strong and connected school community by encouraging involvement, supporting faculty and staff, and providing resources to the school. Every parent or guardian is automatically a member of the P/GA (welcome!). We are governed by an Executive Committee and staffed by a fantastic community of volunteers.
Throughout the year, the PG/A hosts adult education opportunities and social & community events. We manage the Drew Class Representatives (class reps) program, a New-to-Drew Family Picnic, and much more.
No matter your availability, there is a volunteer opportunity that works for everyone. Please reach out to us via email: pga@drewschool.org
Parenting a high schooler comes with moments of deep connection—and moments of challenge. Whether navigating emotional outbursts, addressing misbehavior, discussing politics and identity, or managing tensions with other parents, these conversations can feel high stakes. How can we approach them in ways that affirm dignity, strengthen relationships, and promote understanding?
In this interactive session, we will explore practical tools from conflict resolution, restorative justice, and neurobiology to help parents and caregivers engage their teens with clarity, compassion, and confidence. Through storytelling, scenarios, and reflection, we will learn how to de-escalate conflict, foster open dialogue, and turn difficult moments into opportunities for growth.
Join us for a supportive and informative session designed for families with LGBTQ+ members. Led by our GSA Advisors, Willow Hagge and Maria Lopez-Larios, and Drew school counselor, Kirsten Fawcett-Dubow, this discussion will provide a safe space to explore ways to foster understanding, affirmation, and well-being for LGBTQ+ youth, parents/guardians, and allies in the Drew community. During this time in which our rights are threatened, let's come together in community to share resources, discuss challenges, celebrate successes, and offer guidance on how families can best support their students and each other. Whether you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, we welcome you to connect, ask questions, and build a stronger, more inclusive school environment together.
This program will cover essential financial strategies for families, including financing high school tuition, saving for college, and giving parents tips on tools to budget and manage family expenses. Parents and children alike will gain practical insights into setting financial goals and making informed spending decisions.
