Students in Amanda Papanikolas' Spanish 2 class form concentric circles to practice discussions utilizing irregular preterite before taking their seats to continue work on projects in which students describe the context of—and story behind—a photo of their choosing or creation.
Students in Spanish 2 continue to develop the four skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through a carefully structured communicative program that emphasizes the ability to use the language conversationally and academically. Understanding of the Spanish-speaking world is promoted through the use of culturally rich, authentic materials. Students use a number of resources, including the Panorama online textbook, sources from the Internet, and supplementary materials written by the teacher. The class is taught in Spanish and English.
