School Canceled
Dear Drew School Community,
We have been tracking the poor air quality from the Camp Fire in Butte County that has been affecting the entire Bay Area. Because the safety of our community members is our top priority and the forecast indicates the air quality will continue to be unhealthy, we have decided to close school Friday, Nov. 16. This means, unfortunately, that we have to cancel Grandparents and Family Friends Day in addition to all school-related activities, including athletics.
We apologize for any inconvenience, especially to any grandparents and family friends who were scheduled to visit campus tomorrow. We are sad to have to cancel this long-held tradition, and we are thinking of ways to reimagine this event in the near future.
School will resume as scheduled on Monday, Nov. 26.
Clearly, this is not the ideal ending to what has been a great start of the year. I am thankful for your understanding as we consider the safety of our community. Please enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving break, and please keep those who have been impacted by the fires in your hearts and minds.
