College Counseling

The College Counseling Office strongly believes in the power of a Drew education. Drew’s faculty, staff, and administration have thought deeply about the knowledge and skills required for lifelong learning and how they can best support students on their educational journeys.

At Drew, you will find your voice, explore various interests, and discover the scholar within. The college application process is an opportunity to showcase all you have learned and accomplished. By partnering with the College Counseling Office and engaging in a curriculum and approach aligned with Drew’s institutional learning outcomes, you will learn how to best communicate your potential to colleges and universities.

Throughout the junior and senior years, you will explore overarching topics from self-reflection exercises and writing opportunities to effective college research techniques and preparing for interviews. You will engage in active learning to master skills and concepts and meet with your college counselor to apply these skills and experiences to your own unique process.

Drew’s college counselors tailor their guidance to your individual educational goals, post-secondary plans, and personal needs. A variety of sessions on specialized topics are also offered such as summer opportunities, conservatory applications in the arts, and pursuing STEAM fields.

Sincerely,
Kristen Hansen | Co-Director of College Counseling
Randolf Arguelles | Co-Director of College Counseling

Experience What High School Should Be

Drew knows and believes in teenagers. We engage each student in a process of intellectual discovery to develop an individual voice, the confidence to express it, and the empathy to understand its impact.
