It was the joy of everyone in the Drew community to witness the spirit, energy, and kindness that you all carried with you as you crossed the finish line on your high school career. Everyone at Herbst Theater - parents/guardians, grandparents, friends, trustees, faculty, staff, family, and fellow students - can attest that it was a well-deserved, beautiful and intimate ceremony.
Eric Schulkin ‘09, Alumni Council and Member of the Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2023 into the Drew Alumni Community earlier this week by reflecting on his own unique Drew experiences and connections that he’s made and maintained over the years.
In her virtual visit to a class of Mary Kerr’s Marine Biology students, marine biologist Shannon Murphy '11 talked about her current research as it relates to what the students have been learning, and her journey after Drew: her studies, internships, and entrance into the professional field, as well as important lessons learned and practices she developed along the way.
Drew knows and believes in teenagers. We engage each student in a process of intellectual discovery to develop an individual voice, the confidence to express it, and the empathy to understand its impact.
