Lauren Railey, Assistant Head for Academics

Lauren Railey joins the leadership team at Drew with more than 20 years of experience in teaching and administration, joining us from The Athenian School, where she was the Middle School Head and Acting Head of School. Known for her strong relationship-building and leadership by example, Lauren has a deep background as a 6-12 academic leader and is a passionate advocate for experiential learning. She oversaw the curriculum and learning outcomes of the Focus Day program at Athenian, emphasizing hands-on learning outside the classroom. Lauren holds an M.A.T. in Social Studies Teacher Education from Brown University and a B.A. in Political Science and Italian from Middlebury College.
