About Us

Susan DaSilva

Susan has over 15 years’ experience in the healthcare field as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner specializing in primary care and psychiatric-mental health. She has undergraduate degrees in rehabilitation psychology and nursing, a master’s degree in nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, and a doctoral degree
in nursing practice from the University of San Francisco. Susan’s advanced clinical training was performed at Harvard-affiliated hospitals. While continuing to practice as a nurse practitioner,
Susan became interested in leadership and organizational effectiveness and earned a Master of Business Administration degree.

Susan and her husband, Tom, recently started a non-profit called the R&D Impact Foundation and are committed to service and transforming communities. Susan currently serves on the board
of the University of San Francisco and on the Dean’s Circle for the School of Nursing and Health Professions. She also volunteers at several youth organizations in the Bay Area. She is
pursuing a PhD, with research interests in community mental health and evidence-based interventions to promote well-being.

Susan admires Drew’s commitment to students and providing a meaningful education that fosters a love of learning and prepares them for success in life. She brings a passion for education and a
background in philanthropy to the Drew Board of Trustees.

Susan resides in San Francisco with Tom and their three daughters, Daria (Drew class of 2026), Eliana and Lilya (both at Convent Elementary School). She is a first generation Portuguese
American and speaks fluent Portuguese. Susan and her family enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.
