Andre Haddad

Andre Haddad is the CEO of Turo, the world’s largest peer to peer car sharing platform. For over 20 years, Andre has built and operated consumer tech companies including iBazar, eBay and Shopping.com.
Andre graduated from HEC Paris with a Master in Management. He currently serves on the board of Kiva.org, the world’s largest micro lending platform. He served on the board of Immigration Equality, a nonprofit focused on achieving equality for LGBT immigrants.
Andre brings to the Drew Board strong leadership and operating experience. His deep background in consumer technology can help Drew pioneer further excellence in education.
Andre was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He left Beirut after his house was bombed in June 1989 during the devastating civil war that tore that country apart for 15 years. He lived in France for 15 years, where he met his partner, now husband Benoit Delaveau. They both moved to the Bay Area in 2022, and they are raising their 3 kids, Laurice, Alexandre and Alice. Laurice is in the Class of '25 at Drew.

Drew knows and believes in teenagers. We engage each student in a process of intellectual discovery to develop an individual voice, the confidence to express it, and the empathy to understand its impact.
