About Us

Arpana Vidyarthi

Arpana Vidyarthi is a Professor of Medicine the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the Chief Medical Officer for Private Medical. For over 20 years, Arpana has worked in San Francisco and Singapore practicing medicine, teaching clinical skills and leading system change.
 
Arpana was previously a member of the Board of Trustees and the Governance Committee Chair for the Singapore American School. She is also a strategic advisor to the Healing WELL promoting wellness to those who live SF’s Tenderloin district, and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Homeless Prenatal Program, eradicating poverty through housing and capacity building for SF’s underprivileged families.  
 
Arpana believes in Drew’s ability to bring out the best in each child helping them to soar. She brings to the Drew Board of Trustees her background, expertise, and a passion for creating educational environments that allow kids to bring their whole self to school.  
 
Arpana attended Macalester College where she studied Ethnic Relations. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed her residency at Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She holds an Executive Masters in Change from INSEAD. Her daughter Anaiya, Drew class of 2023, enjoys dance, tennis, and leads a service-learning program at Drew. Her daughter Nika International High School class of 2025, is a budding marine environmentalist. Arpana and her family are avid global travelers, scuba divers and tennis players.
