Tony Lopez

Tony Lopez has spent his career building consumer tech products and organizations in search, gaming, eCommerce, social media, and VR. Tony recently joined Meta, focusing on creating a safe, healthy, and equitable metaverse for all communities. Before Meta, Tony spent 12 years building and leading Apple’s digital retail product organization.

 

Tony graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in psychology. He received the ‘Outstanding Alumni of Color’ from the UW in recognition of his career in tech and his work serving underrepresented communities. A son of Guatemalan immigrants, he is proud to sit on the board of Enfoque Ixcan, a non-profit providing eye care to the remote jungle regions of Guatemala.

 

Tony and his family (Mariza, Drew class of ’24) were drawn to Drew in part because of its belief in building an inclusive community where everyone can be their authentic selves. He is excited to bring his passion and experience to the board and help Drew realize its mission, particularly on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.
