Dragons gut out Double-Overtime Victory

Mr Free
In a back and forth battle that took two extra sessions to decide, the Drew Dragons held on to capture a 64-62 victory over league foe, International.  With only seconds remaining in regulation and the Dragons down 3, Lucas Spagat drove baseline and kicked the ball to the corner where Andrew Robb scooped the pass, elevated and drained a his first 3-pointer of the season to force overtime.  The momentum carried into the extra session as Tyler Yin had an and-1 and Robb knocked down another jumper for 2 of his game high 24 points.  But International climbed back into the game with a 3-pointer, followed by a lay up with only seconds left to force a 2nd overtime.  In the additional session, the Jaguars took a one-point lead off of a bank shot 3, which found the mark.  With 20 seconds left in the game, Tyler Yin split two defenders and made his way to the basket to hit the game winning lay-up.  Freshman, Jake Goodman sealed the victory with a steal off of the inbound.  The victory evened the Dragons league record to 1-1 and 5-7 overall.
