Girls Varsity Volleyball Prepares for the Playoffs
The Dragons are in second place in the league and will host the league playoffs on Wednesday, Oct. 17, starting at 5 p.m. The finals will also be held at Booker T. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m.
The team this year is anchored by seniors including captains Campbell ’19, Jenna ‘19—both coming off of earning all-league honors last year—and Shan ‘19. Along with the captains, fellow seniors Alexa ’19, Aleea ’19, and Romy ’19 form a core of experienced leaders on the court. The team enjoyed a mid-season, seven-game winning streak including key wins against St. Vincent de Paul and Convent Stuart Hall.
Additionally, the team is enjoying its first full season in Drew’s new gym in the Booker T. Washington Community Service Center.
