Winter Sports Wrap-Up

Championship games for the Boys' Varsity Basketball and Girls' Varsity Soccer happened over this past week.
Boys' Varsity Basketball
The Drew Boys Basketball team fell in the semifinals of the BAC Championship to SF Waldorf 60-57. It was an incredible game with the Dragons battling back after being down big early. This was the most successful boys basketball season since the 2015 season and the first league winning record since 2005-06. The boys season may not be done yet as we wait to hear if we will be accepted into the North Coast Section Tournament. Congrats to Coach Heath and all the boys on a fantastic season so far!

Girls' Varsity Soccer
The Drew Girls Varsity Soccer team faced off against International High School in the BAC Championship on Thursday, February 10th. The top two seeds had faced each other three times in the regular season and finished 1-1-1 in head-to-head matchups.

The Championship game was played on the Beach Chalet fields in front of dozens of fellow students and parents to cheer on the team. It was a back and forth battle with impressive plays by both teams. When the final whistle blew, IHS came out on top 4-2. The Drew goals came from sophomore Saffi Carlson and freshmen Luccia Noel-Jungclaussen. The girls soccer team will wait to hear if they qualify for the North Coast Section tournament next week. Thank you to Coach Jared and the players for putting your hearts on the line out on the field. Special shout out to Felix and Simon for being fantastic ball boys during the game.
