Drew Dragons Varsity Victorious Technology Thanks To Second Inning Boost


Drew Dragons Varsity put up five runs in the second on its way to an 8-2 victory over Technology on Tuesday. The offensive firepower by Drew Dragons Varsity was led by Charlie Erdman, Chalom Rosenberg, and Jason Shegoleff, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Drew Dragons Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Erdman singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Drew Dragons Varsity pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Erdman doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Rosenberg singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs for Drew Dragons Varsity.
Daro Serizawa earned the victory on the mound for Drew Dragons Varsity. He allowed one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out four.  Jack Pomeranz and Jackson Rose entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Sam Morrow took the loss for Technology. He lasted two innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out three.
Sebastiano Piombo started the game for Technology. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out three and walking zero. Drew Dragons Varsity had ten hits in the game.  Kevin Ebrado, Erdman, and Pomeranz all collected multiple hits for Drew Dragons Varsity.  Pomeranz, Erdman, and Ebrado all had two hits to lead Drew Dragons Varsity.Piombo led Technology with one hit in one at bats.
