Volunteer

Drew’s community continues to flourish through the generous efforts of parent and community volunteers. That said, we are always looking for more volunteers to help in the Development office or at one of the many PGA events planned throughout the year. The PGA supports the School's operation through a variety of committees. Some of these committees are: Hospitality, Faculty Appreciation, Community Service, Library Support, class representatives and of course, the annual fundraising event/Auction.

In 2006, the "Magic of Drew" Auction raised a net of $79,953 including $49,000 for the Mr. Jowell Fund – all of which goes to financial assistance and the operating budget. In 2005, the net raised was $87,000 for the operating budget including $23,000 for the Mr. Jowell Fund. What form the annual event takes is a topic of ongoing discussion, but the School’s goal is always to have a "Drew appropriate" event that celebrates our community, is a fun and exciting evening for those who attend, and fun and rewarding for the volunteers who run it – in addition to raising funds that go directly to Drew’s Financial Aid program.

To become active in any number of PGA-related activities, please review the PGA portion of our website and contact Drew parent and PGA president, Mona Harroch, at monasanfran@aol.com.

Finally, to volunteer with Drew’s community outreach program, which sends Drew community members to schools, churches and non-profits throughout the Bay Area, get in touch with Drew parent and Community Outreach Chair, Dee-Dee Sberlo at deedeesberlo@gmail.com.
