Music

The Drew Music Program is designed as an intensive immersion into all aspects of making, understanding, and appreciating music and music theory.  Led by award-winning musician James Garrison, Drew’s music program is moving smoothly into its eighth year of excellence in music education. Drew is proud to continue offering more daily hours of for-credit music courses in a comprehensive curriculum than any other small independent school in the Bay Area.  The year-long introductory course Music Fundamentals prepares students to participate in one of five ensembles that cover a wide range of musical styles from jazz to popular, classical to rap, Afro-Cuban and salsa.
