New students will receive an orientation on how to use the website, their Drew email accounts, and other technology during their first week of school in August.
New parents will receive instructions on how to log in before school starts. This will be emailed to the email address you provided during the application process, and we will also be holding a new parent website orientation session right before school starts, tentatively scheduled for Friday, August 22 before freshmen students return from the 2-day freshman retreat.

Do Drew students need their own laptop computers? Hide

No, but it can help some students with note-taking and assignment writing to have their own computer. Drew has “mobile laptop carts” that are frequently used for in-class projects and the computer lab is located next to the library for research and general use.

I want to buy a laptop-should I get a Mac or a PC? Hide

You can use either Mac or PC laptops on the Drew wireless network. Most of the computers at Drew are PCs so we can probably offer better casual support for personal PC laptops than we can for Macs, but we are open to all-comers, which means Linux too.

I have other technology questions. How do I get them answered? Hide

You can take a look at the Technology page on our website for some more FAQs - click on the DrewNet menu and choose Technology. Alternatively, you can email our Director of Technology, Tom Wadbrook, at tomwadbrook@drewschool.org.
