Library
The Drew Library is a welcoming and dynamic center for research, study, and recreational reading. It is a light-filled architectural highlight of the school and a comfortable gathering place for students. It is open before, during, and after school until 4:30pm.
The continually evolving collection of nearly 10,000 volumes includes up to date reference material and circulating books in non-fiction, fiction, and biography. There is also an extensive College Resources collection that includes material on choosing colleges, college life, exam study guides, work/study abroad, and career guidance. Sixty print magazines and three periodical databases that access thousands of journals, newspapers, and radio & TV reports are available for research. Over 700 DVDs and videos on a variety of subjects support and enrich the curriculum. Computers in the Library and adjoining Computer Lab may be used by students throughout the day, providing access to the Internet and the Library's online catalog which can also be accessed from home.
A professional librarian, Marta Fuchs, MLS, is enthusiastically available to help students and teachers with research projects and other information needs. The Drew Library promotes the teaching of information literacy skills and encourages lifelong learning based on curiosity and excitement. Contact Marta via email at marta@drewschool.org
