David Frankenberg has been the Head of School of Drew since 2016. Originally from Argentina after being born in the Netherlands, David grew up in Hong Kong before coming to the U.S. to attend Wesleyan University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Sociology. After a few years working in business consulting, David began his teaching and administrative career in Argentina - where he taught English, was a Department Chair, coached the debate team and worked as a Dean of Students; before becoming Secondary School Principal at Oakwood School in Los Angeles. David is a fervent believer in the power of student-centered education and has worked on perfecting the systems leading to this through nearly two decades of experience in independent schools internationally and in the U.S. He holds a masters degree in educational leadership from Harvard University.
